We put the boundaries in writing
This business runs on fetching public content, so what we fetch, what we refuse, and what happens when someone objects has to be said up front. What follows is a summary; the binding text is the agreement you accept at signup.
Terms of service
Accounts
Accounts are created and managed at member.databridge.world. An API token is equivalent to a password: calls made with a leaked token count against your quota and aren't credited back. If one leaks, revoke it in the console and generate a new one immediately.
Subscriptions and billing
Subscriptions bill monthly and renew automatically until cancelled in the console. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current period. Full refund within 7 days of the first subscription if under 10% of the period's quota has been used. Prices are in USD; cross-border settlement fees are borne by the payer.
Acceptable use
- No reselling, redistributing, or bundling the data into a data product you sell.
- No automated hoarding, bulk mirroring, or building a substitute service on top of this one.
- No driving request volumes at origins beyond normal readership, and no circumventing their access controls.
- No use for harassment, doxxing, or automated decisions that produce legal effects on individuals.
Availability
We make reasonable efforts to stay up but promise no specific SLA unless a separate enterprise agreement says so. Origin redesigns, anti-bot changes and network incidents can cause delays or outages. Outages caused by origins aren't a breach, but subscription time is extended by the actual downtime.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate acceptable use, fail to pay, or place excessive load on origins. Termination for cause is non-refundable. Voluntary closure is refunded pro rata for remaining days (aside from the 7-day first-subscription refund, which is separate).
Privacy
This site (www.databridge.world) is fully static. No session cookies, no business cookies, no third-party analytics scripts. We don't record how you browse here.
Account data is processed at member.databridge.world and limited to: email, password hash, subscription state, API call counters, and billing records. We don't read your request contents or analyze which data you pull or why.
The service processes publicly published content, not your personal data. If a source item happens to contain personal information, we pass it through unchanged and build no profile from it.
Data compliance
Fetching principles
| Principle | In practice |
|---|---|
| Public only | Only pages reachable without signing in; no user credentials ever sent |
| Respect robots.txt | Disallowed paths are skipped; Crawl-delay is treated as a floor, not a ceiling |
| Restrained requests | Cadence set to what each origin can bear; no load-test style concurrency |
| Attribution kept | Every item keeps its original link and site identity |
| No circumvention | No paywall, captcha or login bypass; no identity spoofing |
| No profile harvesting | No personal data, private communities, or data about minors |
Takedowns and objections
Site owners, rights holders or their authorized representatives can write to hello@databridge.world with the source URL and their standing. We stop fetching and distributing that source within 24 hours and purge its cached items. No legal paperwork needed first.
Sites that explicitly forbid crawling or redistribution aren't onboarded. If such a statement surfaces after onboarding, the source is removed immediately and added to a permanent exclusion list.
Limits of responsibility
We provide technical transport and structuring of content and claim no copyright over the original material. Subscribers must confirm their use complies with the rules of the jurisdiction where the content originates. Disputes arising from use beyond internal use are the subscriber's responsibility.
Disclaimers and changes
Data is provided as-is. We dedupe, validate and retry, but don't warrant completeness, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. For investment, legal or medical decisions, rely on the original source.
This page may change as the service evolves. Material changes are announced in the console with 14 days' notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
